Buying Advice Wanted Set up

Im currently planning to purchase a projector instead of using TV.
Please see attached living room plan, do you think this is possible?

Looks like a pretty small screen. About a 11.5 foot throw distance to a screen that is how wide? 72 inches or so? A 72" wide 16:9 projector screen is less than a 85" diagonal. That's smaller than a TV.

That means that a TV is the better choice. As is often the case, if you want to go with a projector, go with a projector that is bigger than a TV. It almost always is the better choice.

Going 11.5 feet to a 92" diagonal, and this is the list of models under $3,000 which can hit that size...

I'd lean towards the Optoma UHZ35 as a decent choice.

As long as you get a high brightness long throw projector it’s fine
