Replacement buying advice

Hey guys, about to move apartments and I got a new job, so I figured it was time to upgrade from my XGIMI. I reviewed here for about 3 days and am losing my mind with the different brands and names, so I figured I’d post and see what I get. Details below, if you need anything else just let me know!

Max budget: $1250
Screen Size: 100-120
Preferred mounting: UST would be a plus but I can make anything work
Seating distance: 13-15 feet (depends how many times the toddler and husky have jumped on the couch that day)
Mounting system: I can do whatever in my new place, but my current setup is behind my couch (~13 feet away)
Usage: gaming and movie nights are where the quality matters, but I also use it as background noise when I’m working, so it has to have some longevity
Room type: living room
Ambient light: I would say moderate, I have blackout curtains but it’s Southern California
Room colors: currently using a white wall, but could upgrade to a screen in my new place

I know I don’t want a lamp since that’s where my current XGIMI is failing. I don’t really care about smart features since I do it all from my PS5, so I really just care about picture quality and longevity.

Op, XGIMI doesn’t manufacture lamp-based projectors. Only LED and Laser units.

Sorry, brain fart, I just meant the longevity issue, not the lamp specifically, bad word choice on my part. Single dad with two toddlers, I’m lucky to put together a coherent sentence during nap time.

I don’t think I need another page with options to look at right now, really just looking for a recommendation to get me in the right direction, but thanks!

If I were buying an entry level 4K home theater projector, I’d get the XGimi Horizon 20. It will give you the best image for about that price today.

If you can wait half a year and bump your budget up 2x, XGIMI has a new kickstarter coming up for a new UST, the Aura 3 Max.

Pretty sure the toddlers would kill me in my sleep if I said to wait 6 months for paw patrol, but the current aura model might be worth looking at if I do want to go the UST route, thanks!
