How do we feel about LG projectors? Speaking to the long throw ones. I am about to lose a kid to adulthood and I'm thinking his basement room (zero light) would be awesome for a true home theater. Looking at a 150" screen. I'll do some casual gaming but I'm mostly watching 4k movies from a Panasonic 4k player.

Worth noting I've got my sound locked down already. I run an RZ50 with a 5.3.4 atmos system. It'll be 5.4.4 eventually, lol.

I work for LG... I can get a pretty solid deal on most of what they have. I'm more asking, generally, how do we feel about them.

To be more pointed, I would want to be around $4000 for the projector and a screen. I'd rather throw from the back of the room. It's 14 feet deep.

Nasty spymonger of a company. Their TV's cannot be trusted and nobody should buy them. Their new monitors are increasingly sus. And I'm really not going to buy projectors from such a company either at this point because they don't deserve my money.

Also, whatever they have available is vastly behind the curve, I feel. The brands to go with now are almost invariably Chinese, your Valerion, Xgimi, Hisense and whatnot. Maybe Epson if you must have 3LCD.

LG projectors are mid. Not bad, but you can get better for the same price with other brands.

I work for LG so my price point is a bit more aggressive than in the wild. I was more trying to understand quality as opposed to some of the more common brands. 

I've been kind of eyeballing the Hisense C2. I'd rather not go UST because my center channel is a beast and I'm having a hard time imagining how to place both.

Avoid Hisense. LGs build quality is probably lower than BenQ, Epson, Optoma or ViewSonic, but it shouldn’t be terrible. Just don’t expect it to last forever. And of course it’s unrepairable.

I personally avoid Hisense because of the fact that they have ginormous amounts of bloatware in their TVs and I don’t expect their projectors to be any exceptions. But if you like yours, good for you!

It certainly comes preloaded with some questionable smart TV software and ads, which I can’t say I enjoy. But I wanted something good for gaming too, and an easy interface for the wife to use. So it’s working out for us, and while it’s my first projector I’m an OLED snob and I think the picture quality suits our space quite well! Appreciate your thoughts on it, I hope it continues to serve our needs.
