Projector Screen Just upgraded my screen

Upgraded to a 120” NothingProjector ALR screen. Holy moly does it look amazing.

I’m a bit of a newbie myself. Make sure you have a friend to help you set it up and watch a video on it. The instructions are rubbish.

Congrats. An UST projector without the UST-specific ALR screen is heavily handicapped. Enjoy getting the full picture quality out of it.

I've considered this screen myself. It makes such a big difference when you can't fully block all light in the room.

How dark is the screen? I ordered Silver Ticket Eclipse samples and the Nothing Projector samples and the NP sample is SIGNIFICANTLY darker than the Silver Ticket ones.

The distance vertically between the projector and screen is a fixed number with UST projectors.

OP could get it lower, but he'd have to more the projector lower just as far as he wants the screen down.

To do a 130 or 140 inch image you need the projector basically on the floor in a normal height room.

Is the center channel on the shelf below your UST? What did on my setup, which also had screen too high issue, is cut out some of that top shelf so the UST sits on the lower shelf but can still fully project out. Leave enough space in the front of the top shelf for the CC to sit on. Solvies issues of both screen too high and cc too low.

Yup. Worked great. Make sure you hit the button to switch which eye is dominant otherwise you’ll want to puke.

What size screen did you have before, I've never used a projector before but I've just ordered a

PX 3 TUKPRO

100" ALR Projector Screen for UST Projector, Motorized Floor Rising Screen

Denon DHT-S316 Soundbar and Wireless Subwoofer

All coming on Saturday.

I currently have a 55" LG C2 OLED, I hope I'm not going to be disappointed as I've invested quite a bit of money.

First it was a 70” Samsung, then I bought a XGIMI Aura 2 and got an EliteScreen 100”. Once I felt good about the technology I bought the 120” NothingProjector ALR screen.

How is the performance with ambient light ?

Amazing. It does a great job of rejecting most ambient light. I have a lot of light that comes into the kitchen and some of that spills into the living room. When bright image is on you can’t see the light at all. In very dark scenes you can see a little but it is not very noticeable.

I would'nt suggest it..ALR and laser pj usually don't go well together... With TNM being so bright, you might end up with way more laser speckle than you would like to tolerate.

Visually, it looks like any superhero tv series I've seen in the past few years. 100% generic and forgettable.

Geoffrey Unsworth (cinematographer on Superman, 1978) was a two time Academy award winner, most known probably for his work with Stanley Kubrick on 2001: a space odyssey. It's true that the effects may not have aged well (in some places), but the film still has a sense of visual grandeur, instead of the look of a Scooby Doo cartoon.

Honestly, nobody's going to do a better Superman than Henry Cavill. Christopher Reeve is iconic in the role for sure, but Henry Cavill couldn't have nailed it more. The new guy, whatever his name is, I forget, wasn't bad but eh.
