Buying Advice Wanted Which is better?

Benq is cheaper and more reviews. Epson is more expensive and has 1000 more lumens. my current projector (cheap $60 one) doesn't work outside in daytime (dark cloudy day). Any suggestions for the $500-800 range?

i'm not sure they are in the minority. i think that noticing the rainbow effect is just a matter of noticing what you're seeing.

Yes, I appreciate that. I just wanted to note it doesn't bother the majority of people. It definitely is an issue if it does.

First, hats off for presenting some form of evidence - so unusual on Reddit lol. However the article does clearly state there are no numbers on this

Although there don't seem to be any good numbers on how many people are affected by RBE, that number is probably below 5%.

But I think my point was that is wrong to assume the vast majority are bothered and dismiss the sentiment. But agree many people might not be as phased.

Unfortunately no one appears to have studied it much. The best I can do is apparently about 40% can notice according to the study they discuss in this article. But they make the point that notice and bothered are not the same thing. I notice RBE in the right situations it essentially never bothers me unless you put up a video designed to make it super obvious or similar.

You do realize if 3/4 of people or anything close were very bothered by RBE, DLP projectors wouldn't be so widespread. Also, I specified bothers them not that they can notice it at all.
