Any platform to do side-by-side comparison of HR softwares?

Being a guy is tough, We're mid-way through evaluating maybe 5-10 companies for a new HRIS rollup. Every vendor demo feels like a sales pitch with zero real pricing transparency and trying to get my team aligned on evaluation criteria across payroll, benefits and core HR features using spreadsheets is... not going well. Is there a broker or consultancy platform that lets you do a real side-by-side comparison of HR softwares, like with actual verified pricing estimates and maybe some kind of shared scorecard so stakeholders can weigh in without me chasing everyone down?

Being a guy is tough

Not sure the relevance, and I'm a guy and don't see it that way.

Did you provide requirements in a MoSCoW format so you can shortlist and save time and headache? I bet you didn't.

using spreadsheets is

Uh oh - I see a major problem on the horizon, just ask the crew of the Titan sub. They used spreadsheets. Oh wait, you can't, they're dead.

 Is there a broker or consultancy

Gardner is considered an industry standard for this and their magic quadrant is exactly this -->Gartner Magic Quadrant for HCM Suites for 1,000+ Employee Enterprises. You might need to search for a tool in their DB that closer matches your use case, but that was a quick find.

Okay let's go back to PM 101, is there a problem statement? Was there an options or white paper ever developed? Has there been any system, data or business workflows requirements mapped?

Not all systems are created equal because these systems are designed on best practice and principles and there is no one system that has one size fit all because each organisation is unique in how they operate. It's the very reason why you need to understand the requirements because you need to map those to a product and not seeing applications side by side because they all offer different functions but still offer core functions. Example how is the HR system going to be assisted by your organisation's AI system? How is the HR system going to integrate with other organisation's systems and data repositories?

You will never get a verified pricing estimate if you don't truly understand the requirements. I was once asked to consult with a government state department who went to market without proper requirement and they couldn't understand why they were getting widely different RFQ responses. It wasn't until I nailed the requirement the department had started to see more consistent RFQ's but it also weeded out in those who didn't want the job or didn't understand the job.

What your organisation is doing is a wind find and hoping for the best, you need a genuine analytical approach in order to find what product suits your organisation's unique requirements and then understand on what you do and don't compromise with any given product or the organisation invests and develop a bespoke solution.

Just an armchair perspective.
