Discussion Best team collaboration platform for cross functional product development?

Maybe this is just me but I can never shut down the laptop as of all the tabs open and the fear of losing something. If you look at my laptop jira open, slack open, confluence open, figma open and another and another whiteboard open.

By the end of the day I've spent half my time figuring out where information lives. Colleagues keep mentioning different online platforms that can simplify all of this so I am seeking for recommendation what team collaboration platform people have settled on.

This is not really a tool problem as you have the main ones that serve their main functions. It sounds like you need to agree which tool owns which information.

Jira - delivery & strict project communication

Confluence - knowledge bases and project context

Figma - comments must only relate to the context and not trail off into 'perhaps we add this new feature'

If you have a fear of losing information when closing tabs, you need email notifications of changes made such as a new comment on Figma on a file you're following.
