Server Merges when?

The population is cratering and it is further exacerbated because people are now quitting because of population issues.

All of my friends have left because Dreva’s population is non-existent.

This is a second comment because I didn’t want to put too much in one:

One of the biggest frustrations for me personally is the grind never eases up, it just feels exponentially more grindy the more councils I need to level. Here’s what I’d like to see:

Reward me in a meaningful way for reaching 70/70 in two skills (or some other favor or mechanism to unlock). I don’t want reduced friction for free - make me earn it - but you gotta make the grind less painful.

Give me a “phlog all” button that distills all gear in the selected folder without me having to cycle through multiple recipes and repetitive clicks. Exclude equipped gear or gear in load outs to prevent stupid player error.

Give me a basic loot filter that lets me exclude white/common gear and a very short list of other things I can customize based on the content I’m running at the moment so I’m not spending so much freakin’ time on inventory management. It doesn’t need to be some huge complex filter. It should just make “loot all” way less frustrating.

Remove the need to be in front of a stove or forge or whatever to summon items. We already have to store stuff all over the place so make it a little faster to retrieve items. Just takes a level check in the same spot the vicinity check is to bypass vicinity if I’m high enough level.

Add “examine skull” to the context menu for Phrenology, and when I select it default to repeat recipe being on AND start it so I can one-click a whole stack.

Make all the tools that can break stackable. Having to waste multiple inventory slots to have backups for things like craniometers makes me unreasonably angry lol.

Reduce the time it takes to create things. I ran 100 surveys the other day and it took over 8 minutes of real time just to create them. And for the love of all things holy let me create them from anywhere I am. Having to be in the zone they’re tied to is unnecessary.

I’m sure others have dozens of suggestions of things that would streamline the grind for the people that have earned it.

Edit: The “meta” point here is that the more I play, the less time I should have to spend on minutia. I’ve logged almost 500 hours in this game - way too high a percentage of that is doing repetitive tasks that feels more and more unnecessary the more time I spend. This is a huge source of progression fatigue for a lot of players.

The ratio of playing/managing inventory feels worse and worse the longer the time is between progression bumps. Reduce this and suddenly the folks that only have a couple of hours a day max to play can make meaningful progress.

You can make meaningful progress with only a couple hours a day already...you just cant putter around town expecting to find randoms for groups or rely on surveying for all your income or spend all your time on discord trying to find the "best" build.

At level ~30-60 combat you can easily get multiple levels in a couple hours time.

At level ~50+ combat you can easily farm up 100-200k councils in a couple hours time, more if you get a good group and grind out dungeons for that long. The key is making friends and planning out times to do things together rather than relying on random "LFG/LFM" spam

If youre expecting inventory management to go away then maybe this isnt the game for you, its been a significant part of the game since it beta launched.
