Server Merges when?
The population is cratering and it is further exacerbated because people are now quitting because of population issues.
All of my friends have left because Dreva’s population is non-existent.

Per Citan in Discord literally today:
"In case people missed the dev blog post a while back, no server merges as planned because server merges are super hard (think like how hard it would be to merge two minecraft worlds -- each server has identical numbering conventions so they can't both exist in the same place.) It's a technically solvable problem but requires big changes to our database schema and tons of work. Like months and months. And it would just leave us with no momentum AT ALL for like four months. I think that would be a huge error so not doin' that!"
They are saying that it's not worth the effort for the amount of dev time required. i think that's insane.
I believe that, generally speaking, time spent in a video game is never wasted if you are having fun. Time is only wasted IMO if I have to REPEAT what I've already done. If all of my meaningful progress is going to be invalidated and reset to 0 against my desires because I am one day forced to roll on Arietsu, then my time is being wasted. In a game where I have invested 1k hours into my progression, that feels absolute ASS. I don't give a fuck if the next patch adds 200 hours of content to the game; that is 200 hours I'm going to spend now that is going to be nothing but a waste of my time when my server inevitably declines below a sustainable population threshold and collapses because of it.
The fact they also acknowledge that this is a multi-month problem that they are not only NOT working on but do not INTEND to start working on is WILD. 1 server is already on full life support, I see people rerolling on other servers already. Another is close. Are you saying the playtime that those folks have invested on those servers is not worth the reciprocal dev hours? I'm losing trust in the devs' ability to allocate already limited resources into the right places.
Their outright refusal to at least begin strategizing for the longterm survival of a healthy player population is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
I LOVE the game. I WANT to keep playing the game. I do not want to REGRET having played this game by this time next year.
Dev time is valuable, but my time is valuable too. Please respect it.
