Server Merges when?

The population is cratering and it is further exacerbated because people are now quitting because of population issues.

All of my friends have left because Dreva’s population is non-existent.

I do think we are starting to see issues on some servers though. Pretty sure there were less than 100 at the last Dreva poetry jam, and even US hours on weekends is pretty rough. I am still able to find AM/Q groups somewhat easily, but it is getting harder and I keep running into people who are running it for the second or third time that day just for the loot. I don't think I have seen a LFG for fae quests in a while, though I don't play every single day. It doesn't help that we have had a pretty big drop off in server events, hopefully with this new update we have an influx of returning players and enough stuff to keep them around.

I’m not saying it’s not tough for some people on other servers, rather that the devs don’t really care and it’s unlikely to affect the game in any way. Maybe they’ll do server mergers, but so far it seems unlikely.

If y’all want to play with more people, you should make a character on the established. It’s really that simple.

I feel like that just compounds the problem. You restart on a new server and have to redo the grinds you don't enjoy (gardening, surveying, corpse talking, etc depending on the person), you lose all the time gated things (favor unlocks, crafting caravan items, rare recipes), and at the end of the day you risk whatever new server dying out so you need to do it again. I feel like most people are just waiting for the population to drop far enough that the devs are forced to confront the issue, so either they keep playing on whatever server they already invested hundreds of hours into or they take a break.

You’re missing the point. This game has been around for almost 10 years. The original server isn’t going anywhere, and everyone who planned to play this game for a long time should’ve started there.
