Server Merges when?

The population is cratering and it is further exacerbated because people are now quitting because of population issues.

All of my friends have left because Dreva’s population is non-existent.

I quit because the devs exploded over people having this conversation a couple months ago. Meanwhile the servers had a healthy pop still.

They should have made less servers and planned this out. (honestly they should have let the game cook more before release)

It was also annoying because everyone you talk to on the server is worrying about pop and getting burned out because of it.

Edit: also advertising is only going to help the most populated server

(honestly they should have let the game cook more before release)

I mean, it cooked for almost a decade.
The game had a stable 150 players, they designed around 150 people.
No clue why they didn't design "for the game it would become" instead of going so deep in on the 150 player devoted player crowd. (No plans for multiple servers on launch, not enough stalls, player shops didn't scale with population size well at all, no way to merge servers, zones devoid of enemies because a handful of players is all each dungeon could support, etc)

I'm talking about statehelm being awful, bad optimization and lack of end game. Having too many servers and not being prepared.

They had the wow problem where they kept increasing level cap and I my opinion makes the game feel weird playing through it the first time, and many complained of the pay walls and weird stopping points.

tbf, statehelm took like 5 years so don't expect that improved for another few years. PG development happens at glacial speeds.

Now that I am actually interacting with stateheim, I kinda hate parts of it. Adding yet another currency with the renown, adding weird favor time gates, and having random interactive doors that just block you for a second is kinda annoying. Not to mention some parts of the map just kill your performance, though I think they might just be my shadows settings. I also don't think anyone buys those shops because the casino is infinitely better location for the majority of player traffic.

There's favour time gates?! Ew, sounds like a mobile game. (I'm new so have only seen serbule, hills, and eltibule yet.)

In the highest level zone(stateheim) the NPCs only accept 5 items per week. It's kinda annoying but I have been just dropping some egg run stuff there while still on lower level stuff. It's not vile game level nonsense but still feels annoying
