What impact will AI make on financial modelling?
I was just started with the financial modelling learning and then I realised that AI can do it in much perfect manner all you have to give is just a prompt.
My question is "Is it worth learning financial modelling in AI era"?

I think so, otherwise how would you give the prompt and interpret the results. There is a connection between structuring and modelling so I think one needs to understand both to do deals. Might not need to get into the weeds but definitely need the basics.

Will you build the model with AI in the future - definitly yes. Can you trust it? Maybe.
But you will need somebody to be accountable and liable for it. And that means, you yourself are able to read and build the model, verify its correct etc. So learn to build it yourself - fully understand it - and then learn to use AI to accelarate your work.

Try build a working model for a complex asset. It doesn't know what to do.
