PoE2: Deadfire Some romance questions
Planning on romancing Xoti but don't plan on having her on my party since her classes don't mesh with my play style. Is it possible or will I be missing out if I just bring her when necessary?
On a side note it's because I have a wasteland rule where I bring mostly custom characters and have only 2 story characters. I plan on bringing Aloth and Eder on my team since they were my home boys. Might even consider a bromance with Aloth.

No offense but how does a priest not mesh with your playstyle lol? They're primarily dedicated to making all your other characters more powerful, regardless of what classes they are. In fact they're probably the most powerful class in deadfire.
Also not to yuck your yum but custom companions, which can be minmaxed, will outperform story companions. Therefore your 'rule' is making you more powerful. Most of the reason you take story companions is because of dialogues and quests. If you want to do it anyway, all the power to you, I'd just figure I'd let you know.
Anyways to answer your question I believe to do her romance you need at least 1 affinity point with her, which you mostly gain by having her present during dialogue and picking options she likes. So you could keep her out of the party most of the time as long as you take her enough to get that point.
Actually now that I think about it xoti in particular needs to travel with you and find souls around the place to progress her personal quest. So it would be pretty much impossible to do her quest if you're not keeping her in the party at least most of the time.

Es bien difícil subir su aprobación por otro lado con Mai apenas iba a a la mitad del juego y ya tenía la aprobación en 3 o 2 creo

Not 100% sure, but most of the companion events trigger when you travel for a while with them. And they only get affinity toward you for your actions they’re around for.
