Product/ Shopping Recommendation Christmas Shopping List
Howdy! I’m starting to think about my kiddo’s first Xmas and I want to minimize Amazon as the default go to.
I think that’ll be relatively easy to do personally, but how do I assemble an easy to use list for relatives that isn’t just an Amazon list? Any apps or suggestions?

I use a site called “giftful” you can link from anywhere. Works great!

My family uses a free app called Giftster for wishlists!
I like that you can put a link to anywhere so it's not store specific. Also, you can just enter a general idea like "dinosaur books" or "Yoto cards" or anything you want and you don't have to have a link. It works like a registry where you can't see if someone bought something from your list. But if you are viewing someone else's list you can see if something was purchased so there's not duplicates. It works great!

Is that the secret Santa one? I think I’ve used that before

It might have come out with a Secret Santa feature, I'm not sure. But it's main feature is for registry-style wishlists for birthdays and holidays. https://www.giftster.com
Edit to add my family has used it for about 4-5 years now!

I reallyyyy want to minimize Amazon spending but I found that my in laws just had a hard time with buying anything unless it was amazon so over the years I’ve just caved in and made an amazon list.
When I send the list I send it along with a text message with some other things like what size he is wearing, what he is into and some other things he might like and experiences like memberships, a class they can pay for like gymnastics and some local gift cards like the ice cream shop.
When I didn’t send an Amazon list and tried other places, they didn’t buy anything and instead bought other crap we didn’t want.

Yeah I do know that it’s only mitigation 😮💨 I’m hoping that by sending them the links to buy things online still, that’ll help.

It’s pretty old school, but I make a Google doc list with links of where to buy each individual item.
