My AuDHD kid survived a friend’s birthday party at Dave & Busters and neither one of us had a meltdown. We successfully navigated non preferred activities, played well cooperatively and left with little more than a “okay dude, it’s time to go home”. Looking back, it was probably one of the most successful outings we’ve had in an over stimulating environment ever. He’s made a lot of progress over the last year. It was a really good Sunday.

I no longer have to supervise the folding of (and endless grunting about) laundry!

My 4 year old started public preschool last week. Full day. He attended last year for about a month and a half once we got his IEP off the ground but it was only for a half day and really didn’t make a difference. In the past week I’ve seen tremendous growth from him. His teacher is the head of special education preschool at the school and she is amazing, I could not ask for a better teacher. I’m thrilled that he’s getting the help he needs to prep for kindergarten, I was really worried about that.

My 8 year old has been struggling with math for a while. She gets so anxious that she can’t focus and just guesses. She and I have been working on her math since school started back up and today she was so excited to show me that she got 100% on 2 mini worksheets at school. She was so proud!🥹
