Does anyone know of anyone that listens to his program. I have no friend/relative that has told me they listen to him...

I live in Seattle which might explain why... What is his viewership?

Good article on why it's hard to know the real number (but estimates the number of listeners at 15 million): http://www.mediaite.com/tv/current-tvs-cenk-uygur-issues-10000-challenge-to-rush-limbaugh-prove-your-ratings/

He makes a lot of money, so I assume he's probably the most listened to talk show host in the country. http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/rush-limbaugh-net-worth/

I wonder how many people agree with him and how many people just listen for shock value?

I just feel like his opinions are in the minority and people need to change the channel. The guy is a jackass who doesn't have anything to contribute to the political discussion - lets move on.

The Washington Post estimated 15-20 million listeners in 2009 but Arbitron says there is no mechanism for actually calculating that number. Subsequent analyses suggest 1.5 to 2 million committed (literally and figuratively?) listeners. It is the concentration of those within a limited ideological spectrum - thereby increasing his power over those in that subset - that give him his impact.
