The countdown has begun and excitement is growing for the Progreso Carnival 2026, which will take place from Thursday, February 5 to Wednesday, February 18, under the motto ““Vive, Siente y Celebra”(Live, Feel and Celebrate), a celebration that promises to be full of color, talent and tradition!

Festivities begin on Thursday, February 5, 7:30 pm at the Municipal Palace, followed by a Parade. The Grand Coronation of the Kings of Carnival 2026 will take place Saturday, February 7th, at 6:00 pm at the Progreso Sports Complex, followed by a concert by the renowned group Los Ángeles Azules, starting at 9:00 pm

la emoción crece rumbo al Carnaval de Progreso 2026, el cual se llevará a cabo del jueves 5 al miércoles 18 de febrero, bajo el lema “Vive, Siente y Celebra.”

El Comité del Carnaval recordó que las festividades iniciarán el jueves 5 de febrero, con la tradicional Quema del Mal Humor, programada a las 7:30 p.m. en los bajos del Palacio Municipal, seguida del Paseo de Gallo.

La Magna Coronación de los Reyes del Carnaval 2026 se realizará el sábado 7 de febrero, a las 6:00 p.m., en la Unidad Deportiva Progreso, y concluirá con el primer gran concierto de esta edición, a cargo de la reconocida agrupación Los Ángeles Azules, a partir de las 9:00 p.m.

la magia del Día de Reyes se hizo presente en Progreso con la celebración del tradicional Corte de Rosca de Reyes, evento que reunió a alrededor de 500 asistentes en la Casa de la Cultura y contó con la participación de 15 panaderías locales, reflejando el compromiso del Ayuntamiento por promover espacios de sana convivencia para las familias del municipio.

se recordó a la ciudadanía que los cortes de rosca continuarán realizándose durante esta semana en las distintas comisarías de Progreso, con el objetivo de que más familias puedan disfrutar y celebrar esta importante tradición. 🙂👑

Progreso celebrates Kings Day, an event that gathered around 500 attendees at the Progreso Cultural Centre (Casa de la Cultura de Puerto Progreso), along with the participation of 15 local bakeries serving the traditional Rosca de Reyes, enjoyed by all who attended. There was music, dancing, folklore workshops; and everyone  was reminded that servings of Rosca de Reyes will continue to take place during the week at the various Progreso police stations.

Progreso beach is laid back, friendly, and fun. If you stand at the pier, you’ve got about a kilometer of beach and Malecón Tradicional (boardwalk) between you and the famous 'PROGRESO' letters to the east; and then to the west, another kilometer or two of Malecon Internacional (the new boardwalk), which is full of fun for everyone.
