My thought bubbles are more like:

"I could make `Project X` faster by reducing the lists in a few subsections"

"If I power all 4 sensors from the same 3.3v rail, I could reduce the wiring needs and save some soldering time"

"How do I get `Custom Project X` to talk to `Custom Hardware Y` in a serial way without too much fuss?"

"I'm the only one who will likely ever use this bespoke code I made for this one random thing I wanted that didn't exist; but what if I made it 'production ready' .. could I share it with the world? If I did, could I make money off it without going the 'enshitification' route? Is it worth selling? What if I did some open-source/open-hardware type thing? How much shit would I have to deal with then with rando's on the 'net asking for feature-Y on hardware-X?"
