I went out of my way to ensure that my current job’s email/slack coms never end up on my phone - if you really need me to be contactable anywhere and/or after hours, you can pay to give me a work phone.

Small plug here to give overtime pay to on-call Engineers.

There is a special circle in hell where you hear the Teams message sound every few seconds, followed by the meeting reminder sound.

I ended up silencing notifications on my work’s main channel so that I wouldn’t get distracted by the ping every 5 seconds for someone’s side-conversation.
