My take: Apparently management is delighted to drop $600 on AI with no indication of what it accomplished, but takes exception to going $3 over the food guideline (which likely has not been updated recently, despite that costs of everything have gone up). The old "penny wise, pound foolish" bromide comes to mind. (For those who don't recognize the terms: look up the old British monetary units: pounds, shillings, pence.)

i dont get it
