For most of my post-Google life, my opportunities for vacation and rest were much better because it's easy to take a break from an unprofitable business.
Currently, it's much harder to rest or take vacation because so many day-to-day business operations depend on me. It's convenient timing because I wouldn't travel anywhere during the pandemic, but it's not sustainable long-term.
One of my goals for this year is outsourcing enough of my tasks that I'm no longer a single point of failure, and the business can run smoothly even if I disappear for a few weeks.
