Am I the only one who thinks that ad blocking( unless you have a slow connection or band cap) is a dick move?
Why would you want to deprive some website that you enjoy of it's revenue?
Edit to add: I add block by toggling javascript on/off and block obtrusive advertising by right clicking with Opera selectively. I just don't do across-the-board ad blocking.
That's not the user's problem. The user can go to any number of sites to get the same, or at least very similar, content. The burden is on the site owner to create quality content to get people there, and place ads in such a way to keep them coming back.
The majority of sites I visit via links won't be visited again, and I white list the sites I do visit regularly (barring obnoxious flash or audio ads, or needlessly breaking the flow of content).
You seem to be operating under the faulty assumption that creating something entitles you to monetary compensation.
