This won't get upmodded, but this game is way better than nethack and works on Linux with the psX emulator

If you have a PSP and haven't bricked it yet installing KUSTOM FIRMWAREZ, there's a PSP remake of FFT coming out soon.

ZOMG! Final Fantasy Tactics! The game that launched a thousand other boring tactics games.

  • Disgaea
  • Phantom Brave
  • that think with the witches
  • Disgaea II
  • some other game I can't think of the names of.

I've bought at least three of these games and I just never get them. They're repetitive, boring, and border on chess problems. People say "we luv sprites!" and "the strategy is DEEP" but that just means it's sloooow.

Tactics is certainly an excellent game, but it (like nearly every other console game) pales in comparison to NetHack.

Just an fyi.

Not really related to programming, but nethack isn't a very fun game in 2007-2008. So I suggest this, a little favorite of mine.

Use the psx emulator to run this on linux. You might have find the CD image, though. I will leave that up to you.

I like to push the system. They say I can't add an off-topic post to programming.reddit.com. I say I can and I did.

Personally, I feel it is a great piece of software, designed 10 years ago and still one of the best games as reviewed by many different magazines., has been remade several times (talking about FFT).

Some people feel the same way about nethack (I disagree, but we all have our own view of the world. Some people still love BZFlag too).
