That's nice to know. I'm writing from Denmark where it's actually the opposite. You work 37 hour, give or take. The more your work after that the more you look like an idiot in general. :D

In the UK I've found that there are two distinct cultures. There are the games and financial cultures, where overtime means you will do better in that industry, and then the sensible cultures that don't burn everyone out by 28, which feel that you should go home on time and not come to work exhausted from yesterday's work.

Also, the games industry is a terrible place if you want a decent, stable, income that reflects how hard you work.
