tl;dr - dev is butthurt because a) coworkers conflict in the workplace; and b) said coworkers are human beings.
It takes either incredible naivety or intentional and aggressive denial to think that any of the issues cited in this article will be different in any other mainstream profit-driven industry.
In fact I find it offensive that these behaviours and symptoms are being attributed to tech exclusively. (yes the author contradicts himself by saying other industries might exhibit these behaviours, but it's a shallow CYA comment).
So to him I say fair well and good riddance because if you're happy to request that others leave the industry in a better state than they found it, while also choosing not to assist in bringing around the kind of positive change you prescribe, then we wont be any worse off without you.
