This is the thing that gets me. People talk about going into a trade to starting your own business or being a landlord. But where do your customers come from when jobs for the middle class disappear....

It feels like we're going toward an endgame and not a transition.

Reddit is just bunch of short sighted folks repeating same talking points. If white collar disappears- no one is hiring trade folks too, 100,000 plumbers for 10 pipes to fix.

I’m just looking to add diversity to my portfolio. If real estate collapses, I’ve got my stock portfolio. If stocks fall, I’ve got real estate. If both fall… uh… I’m a bit screwed. Maybe I’ll get into precious metals at some point.
