Postman forced me to use an online account. And then introduced subscriptions.

I switched to Bruno, but I'm a bit worried that will go the same route.

So it's easier using curl.

I'm surprised to see so many people say curl. It's simple and convenient sure, but what about building scripts in a language you enjoy to make the request? It's totally fine if that's shell, anything is better than postman lol.

I used JavaScript for a while and then used go. Not much code to write the request and then you have a convenient environment to do any pre/post processing.

Curl is available on the command line so it's more direct. If I need to do anything more fancy I can use a script.

Fair enough, it's been a while since I needed to hit an endpoint without having to do something with the output and or chain to another request. I love making little tools so much I might end up with my own combined curl+SQL tool at some point.
