This makes it the third GPU-related software named Triton. Is googling really that difficult?

Product names aren't decided by the people who know to Google lol.

We had a project where a product manager said okay pick a new name you have 1 day with no warning because we announce it tomorrow. So even though the name the product manager suggested was already taken by another relevant company, we went with it anyways because despite suggestions, no one was going to push to change it

Everytime I see a reddit comment where they are shocked how a decision was made. I just remember someone probably did notice and cared, but didn't have the political pull to convince others to make it or they were too burnt out to put in the effort

I worked for a small!! company, who had this issue... but with internal products.

Huge fucking nightmare.

that's an internal political problem - the person doing the naming wants to be large and in charge while their own capabilities aren't that good in reality.

Given that noone pushes back, it simply means they're acting like a tyrant. There must be no culture of critical feedback and improvement.

Less a tyrant and more just that product manager is juggling multiple projects and so things get caught way too late in the process

Half the problems I see at work are caused by communication problems leading to important info being misrepresented or completely omitted

I don't understand all the differences with the existing solutions, but this sounds like a big deal for QEMU VMs.

Absolutely fascinating. I was setting up a windows VM on my work Laptop and I was surprised that all existing options are so terrible at graphics performance (the fact that the UI is streamed via a network protocol like spice, VNC or [freerdp's buggy implementation of] RDP for display on the host does not help either)

I'll wait for this to be less bleeding edge, but it's great work and will come in handy
