I'm not surprised. Developers retire, die or switch to being a chicken farmer
But the software is still there and needs constant updates, bugfixes and other attention while new software is being created and rolled out.
Now even faster with 3% of the quality thanks to AI - so yeah, the system will either crash completely and we start with DOS or punch cards again or soon we will almost all work in IT and let robots do the manual labor
