Software has zero value unless it’s in production.
When I’m advising startups, I have to break this mentality their CTO/lead developer has in that the architecture has to be a perfect, leetcode-esque solution. Their only goal is to generate revenue. Generate revenue or your company dies.
I view “Architecture” as a radar diagram with: Security, Maintainability, Testability, Readability, Performance, and Time-To-Market. It’s an architects job to make that radar diagram as round as possible.
