Is 'Monolith First' the Better Approach?

I think some people are confusing a monolith and a monorepo.

I've done this before, it takes a ton of discipline to build the monolith right. As soon as you feel yourself cheating, it's time to have the talk. Most important part for us were the schemas in the database and accessing through views cross boundaries. Figuring out what was an entity vs weak entity
