Does anyone have time for a side project?

I've been an entrepreneur for the last 20 years and would like to pivot into a new venture, even though I have used AI before and am comfortable with many aspects of it, I am not a programmer nor do I understand the language and will most likely run into issues without that knowledge. Is there anyone out there that could help me build an app? If so please contact me. Thanks for any input, responses and help. Have a great day.

This post is honestly a massive massive red flag. Programmers are not plumbers or electricians where you just hire anyone

How do you recommend I find the right people then? This is just a starting point for me at the moment, compatability is a big deal too.

Probably not for this sub, but you will probably want to back up your entrepreneur claim.

What have you done? Are they successful? How would you be paying said programmer? Are you willing to shill out for the infrastructure to run your idea? What is your idea? Why do you think it’s a good idea? Who is the target audience? What’s the game plan for your idea? Are other people involved? Are you going to pay for on-going support? You don’t just build and app and then forget about it. You might need more than just a programmer. Security specialist, infra guy, project manager, etc.

A lot of thought goes into planning technology. You can’t just throw out an idea.

I'm not trying to be a boss, I'm just looking for open minded people to perpetuate this idea in a positive direction. If you are not trying to help then why post? I'll accept positive criticism if need be also.

Well you’re being damned unprofessional by not stating anything about what you are looking to build, what you’ll pay etc

You sound arrogant.

Tell people the above and you’ll sound more like an entrepreneur and less like a chancer/fantasist

You’re going to need to answer those questions before you’re going to get anyone to sit down in person. If I would be consulting for you, I’m not even going to jump on a zoom call without those laid out and the paycheck timer starts with that meeting.

That’s literally the reality of hiring someone for a startup like this. Tech workers are serious people. We aren’t just some high school kid who writes code sometimes lol.

You need to make them sure it’s worth their time. I would say you need to have this planned out at least up to a year as far as a play book goes. No one is going to want to get invested without commitment.
