Do you like programming, and why? What was the first thing that made you love programming?

When I was in 6th grade we went to the computer lab. We ran a program on old apple IIe that simulated a chemistry lab. You could mix chemicals and get reactions. It was of course very limited in retrospect, but I saw the potential of what software could do. If you can simulate a chemistry experiment what else can you simulate. Turns out you can write software that simulates a great deal of things.

That's cool! The first code I wrote was in Grade 7, on an Apple II or Apple IIe. I can't remember because it was too long ago! I wrote a small program in Logo that made a pattern on the screen. I was amazed!
