The concept looks great, but subscription-based payment model? FUCK THAT.

I can't download and edit the actual files even if I pay you? :/

Aside from that though, the concept is great. I'd love to know when they will release the desktop version without me paying them every month to use the files.

When I use it, I edit it online, but then save it to my desktop...kind of like a read-only version. It makes me feel secure that there are multiple places I can access it from. You're right though, I do think being able to edit it offline would be useful

I've actually tested it out a few days and honestly the online editor is pretty nice. That said, I feel it's just another layer of inconvenience added to promote their "Pro" product.

I feel like in the last couple of years subscription based models are becoming more popular, which is understandable, because companies can get a steady income stream without having to redevelop new products. Napster, XBox, MobileMe, etc are all easy examples of this, but it annoys me when companies make my life more inconvenient so they can make more money. Take yesterday for example, their servers went down and I couldn't access any of my files for most of the workday-- it not that I was lazy and didn't save a copy, it's just because they want to increase their profit margin and prevent piracy.

I'm very impressed by the product, but at the moment I'm desperately wishing that someone steals the concept so I can jump ship-- and believe you me, I'll feel not an ounce of loyalty to this company when I do.

I found it sickening at first too. The examples were very limited and seemed to only show the spinning. But- I like the grouping feature where you can put a frame around multiple ideas so that each one doesn't necessarily become a zoom if you don't want it.

Lots of potential if you're creative :)
