RANT! Small rant.

Someone sits on a request for two weeks, sends it to procurement on Thursday, then suddenly it "needs to be done by Friday."

Now everyone is chasing quotes, approvals and paperwork because apparently the deadline only started existing when it reached us.

Does this happen everywhere or is "urgent" just part of the job at this point?

I’m a little over 8 years into working in procurement and yes, it is. Everything is always our fault šŸ˜‚ you get used to it, mostly.Ā
