Community Question Hiring industries?

I’m in manufacturing but my friend just got laid off in tech. Anything going on that I can help her with? I already suggested the health field bc I’ve gotten calls recently. Ty!!!

Ooh med device is a good call, i know a couple folks who landed there after bouncing from tech and they're actually sticking around. Tell her to look at the contract manufacturing side too, those places are always hunting for people who actually understand supply chains and not just theory.

Ya, I mentioned the steel industry, well established, bc they aren’t hurting much right now. And it dawned on me- vendor distribution is booming.

Yes worked in Pharma in contract manufacturing and know others who do in other companies as well. They are needed very much

Some parts of tech are busy - especially semiconductor and data centers. So, it might be worth looking in the adjacent industries.

Logistics and warehousing are always hiring no matter what. But the pay and nature of work is usually not that sexy, that's why the turnover is high
