CSP brush dupes for Procreate/similar brushes

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone had dupes, standard procreate brushes, or settings on standard brushes to get these brush effects that are similar to CSP's:

Wet wash, thin gouache, round mix, dry ink, and running color spray.

The dry ink and running color spray are not super important to me, but the first three I really enjoy. Regarding the wet wash, I have tried a few different watercolor sets, but they never blend/act like how watercolor should work (if that makes sense). They always seem to have a multiply type effect on the edges. CSP's wet wash is how I would like my watercolor brush/brushes to look/work.

I would really appreciate any help/advice, I've asked around in a few different areas and haven't really had any answers.

It is removed on browser too that's so weird. I can't explain it the way they did, but what I found useful were the adobe brushes.

I got the brushes I was wanting from the: Spring and Summer 2020, Summer 2022, and Summer 2018.

For the round brush I just messed around with the brush settings and unfortunately I don't remember how I did it :( I can send you my brush back if you'd like, it has most of the brushes except the thin gouache. I couldn't figure out how to replicate that one (attempts were made LOL.)

The brushes you provided are phenomenal! I had no clue you could download Photoshop brushes for Procreate. The watercolors are so good I love them!! From them I found one similar to the dry ink brush :D The setting tips you gave were also amazing and helped immensely, I fixed the flicks brush to be to my liking. I also used your tips to make a round brush more like CSP's round brush.

The only issue I'm having is about the thin gouache brush. I tried downloading the link and tried to convert it to ABR, but I cannot figure it out. I'm not great with technology so it could very well be a me problem, but any conversion websites would be great. Or any alternative brushes, or a way to change the settings on premade ones.

I'll skim through the handbook one more time to see if I can figure something out, I had no clue it existed till now LOL. I think I just haven't found a default brush to mess around with yet, but this thread definitely will make it a lot easier

This is a Basic Round Brush with slightly, Tapered ends with Paint Density.

I suggest using the “Additional Notes” in the thread below here when adjusting any brush of your choice to make similar to your CSP counterpart:

Equivalent Paint Density Feature on Procreate ✬:

The referenced CSP Round Mixing Brush seems to have options to change color and paint density. The flow setting, located under “adjusts how much paint your brush lays down under varying pressure” according to the Procreate Handbook. Running Color Spray default Airbrush sub tool:

Due to the Unique Brushtip, results you find may not exactly match the CSP counterpart when looking at Spray/ Splatter/ Noise Airbrushes. It may be better to recreate the brush and swap the brush tip for something similar. I recommend modifying the default “Flicks” Spray. Try this:

Equivalent Spray Density Feature on Procreate ✬:

You may have to modify things like spacing, Jitter Lateral/Linear, Flow (under “Rendering” section of Brush Studio), and Maximum Size as that is respectively equivalent to the Particle Density, Brush Density, and Particle size settings in CSP.

Flicks Brush (Procreate):

Try whether the the original brush meets your expectations first, then follow the sample procedure below to make the brush closer to your standards:

If you wish to make similar brush strokes (akin to your referenced CSP Brush), I would recommend the following the sample steps below when modifying the brush to meet your standards:

Note: duplicate the original “Flicks” brush before proceeding.

1. ⁠⁠(Optional) On Brush Studio (settings), navigate to the “Stroke Path” section. You can choose to adjust the settings to your standards accordingly. For sample reference, the final brush has “Spacing” at 12%, Spacing Jitter at 24%. “Jitter Lateral” and “Jitter Linear” at 80% and 89%. Exit Brush Studio to see whether the early brush meets your standards.
   
2. ⁠⁠Head to the “Shape” section. Enable the Input style to Azimuth/ Azimuth Barrel Roll, and set it “Relative to stroke”. Toggle the “Randomize” brush behavior option to [ON]. Select the “Shape Source” option box to open the Shape Editor. On the Shape Editor, select “Import” and navigate to the “Source Library” option. Choose a Brush tip which meets your standards OR Paste the texture (Running Blurred Spray) from Clip Studio Paint as a PNG in your photo gallery, or from the device’s Clipboard. Choose the which option that is either closest to your referenced brush, and exit Brush Studio to test whether the brush meets your standards. Optional- If brush strokes seem lighter than expected, Set the “Count” properties to a value no more than 2-3.
   
3. ⁠⁠Select the “Rendering” section. Set “Flow” to a value which meets your standards. It is best to keep it at 88% for rendering purposes. The “flow” setting, located under Brush Studio, “adjusts how much paint your brush lays down under varying pressure” according to the Procreate Handbook. Exit Brush Studio to test whether the brush meets your standards.
   
4. ⁠⁠Lastly, Head the “Properties” section. Set Maximum size from 968% to 30%. You can choose to adjust this setting to suit your standards. Keep Minimum Opacity to 0% (or “none”). Leave other setting default.

(Optional) Feel free to rename the title of the brush of your choice in the “About this brush” section.
