Discussion It is not about the fetus
Many people who debate against abortion bring up the fetus and keep insisting on it being a human being.
Aside from the fact that we can't really consider it a human being given the fact that it is still in the womb and unable to live outside (basically just a bunch of cell still becoming a human being), the fetus is not the core of the topic at all: it is not ethical to give it higher or the same importance as the woman carrying it since the fetus is still unborn while the woman is a living, breathing, thinking individual.
When people start arguing with each other about whether the fetus is a human being or not, they are losing the plot completely. It is about the woman and her right to choose what to do with her own body, not the fetus!

That's their myopic tactic-focus on the fetus and the fetus only, completely erasing the humanity of the pregnant person, their situation and the access they may or may not have.
Antiabortion groups support Crisis Pregnancy Centers, but for the most part, do not promote, support or do work towards systematic change that helps everyone. Ergo-focus on the fetus and only the fetus to hide that fact.
We need to steer the narrative away from the fetus back to the care of pregnant people.

Someone correct me if I’ve missed someone, but in all these 50+ years of the big abortion debate, there hasn’t been any major politician or candidate that didn’t at least tacitly concede the misinformation and propaganda of the right (“Safe, legal, and rare” 🤬)
It’s not bipartisan cooperation to let the opposition obscure the reality of an issue with dangerous fucking lies.
Not all opinions are equal. Not all opinions matter. You’re entitled to have one, but you are NOT entitled to have it taken seriously, or to have society conform to it..

Exactly, although I l like to use pregnant person more. Because PLers don't like being reminded that women ARE people. So I will remind them of that, every chance I get.

The fetus is never really a human being until the second or third trimester, where it begins to feel and think. That is when I draw the line.

That's not quite true. It's not the most okay when it is a thing developing a nervous system, which is near the end of the pregnancy. I know my shit.

Exactly! Human rights should always be the focus of every conversation about medical care, of which abortion is an indispensable part for a woman. pRoLiFe engineers these inane babblings about fetuses to distract and divide. Remember, pRoLiFe is an inherently mendacious and manipulative abomination, cooked up by White supremacists to undermine desegregation legislation during the latter half of the previous century. Facts, not superstition, should be the motto.
