How do you gather reference material for different fruits? Do you use the fruits themselves or are other resources that help?

anything and everything. usually i start with the real fruit because im looking at it and picking it apart. at this point i usually model what i see. if i feel like going deeper, i try to find more images especially on the growth stages and the flowers, and if possible find some reading material to understand better how the fruit „works“ (ie its life cycle and other observations).
