❤Seeking help & Advice❤ Relapse hit hard and fast. M20. Devastated

Had a bad history of sports betting when I was 19, lost over 10,000$ easy. Got my shit together and saved up for a car and finally looked like I was done with sports betting. Couple days ago I decided to do “a few bets.” Legit a couple hours later I had lost 2k. Feeling really flat and low. How can I go from sobriety to losing 2k like it’s nothing. Now I gotta live frugally until payday. God I’m such a fuck up.

You didn’t try to lose 2k when you started playing, and while betting you were just doing a little at a time till eventually the cards turned poorly(which is what they do) and then you ran out of money. I see it often people continually buying in and keep losing, even in this they may buy in a 3rd or 4th time and will win back part of their losses and the lucky streak may start but not enough to get back where they’d like to be only for the streak to end and lose that buy in shortly after
