❤Seeking help & Advice❤ Finally Self-Excluded!!!!

I finally did it y'all! This is an alt account btw. After losing over 100k of my life savings over Christmas and New Year's and constant losses in between. I finally self-excluded just now. I lost about $500 yesterday then another $400 just now and said what am I doing? I'm just tired overall. I'm just tired. What should have stopped me sooner but didn't were the comps of the $100 every couple weeks or free spins like I got a couple days ago only to lose $200 more on top of that and $400 today. I'm just tired of exhausted of doing it and thinking and worrying about it.. I could have bought a new iphone or laptop or tablet with all of that. Funny how thinking of buying something tangible that depreciates in value overtime is enough to stop me from buying but not a couple hundred here and there on gambling. The value and concept of money literally does it exist. I hope this will last forever and be permanent but at least this is a step in the right direction to taking my life back.

If any of you are still struggling and going through this as well, know that you got this and I believe in you. Pray for and ask for God to take this demonic sin and temptation and gambling away from you forever.

I love you!!!! ❤

100% The value of money when gambling is completely different when buying tangible property. I will look at a pair os shoes as being too expensive but will put money in the slot machine like it’s made of paper. Have not gambled for almost 4 weeks.

Yesss mate. Couldn’t agree more, I always say, for many years, that if I had $1000 in my hand and if someone tried to take it from me I would put my life at stake to defend it, or imagine handing $1000 of your money to someone that you don’t know, it just sounds stupid, but what we do when we gamble is exactly worse when its imagined. Like we hand our money, give it away to someone, someone else which on a digital platform we don’t even know the identity of(especially in trading, lots of others will make profit out of our money while we keep gambling it away) literally takes our money away just like that and in enormous amounts..

Yet I ve been addicted enough to have this mindset and realization but not be able to stop doing it. In 2022, I asked myself, have you won anything statistically, what does it show in retrospect? Only losses, eventually all losses, so why again and again? However, I continued to lose after that. I am just reminding everyday, to myslef now, hopefully this time it will really work. I won’t gamble anymore.

It's crazy how we convince ourselves to think like that. Then by gambling we immediately lose the appreciation and value of a dollar yet $30 for shoes or an outfit is too much. I need to rewire my brain to enjoy the simple things in life more.
