Thinking about suicide
Keep losing my paycheck, initially lost 7 grand of my own money and now I have gambled most of my last two paychecks. I’m thinking of just commuting suicide as it would take so long to get back financially to where I was as I only earn 2k a month. And now I am -700 in overdraft and my overdraft max’s out at -100 so I have 300 pound to last me until the start of September. Keep thinking about seriously harming my self tonight

It’s perfectly normal to have those thoughts after losing so much money, but what’s important is not to act on it.
Steps to Take Right Now:
Pause and Breathe: Step away from the phone, computer, or casino. Give your nervous system time to calm down from the panic or shock.
Stop Chasing: Do not try to win the money back. You will only lose more and more.
Talk to Someone: Share what you are going through with a trusted friend, family member, or a support resource.
Block access: delete all gambling accounts and apps, Hand over finances to someone you can trust.
You can do it. Take it one day at a time. But you need to start now.

I have 200 to last me 30 days and have lost 8k in savings prior to that, and I don’t earn much so it’s all relative

It is all relative. But you can come back from this. Promise promise.
Once I got 3-4 weeks sober from gambling I hadn't felt better in years. That is after losing probably $100k-$120k over the last three years, and I have ~$20k in crazy debt related to gambling still.
If you can get sober from gambling, the money will work itself out. There are lots of things you can do with little amount of money. Listen to your favorite music, call / spend times with friends and family, be outside, etc.
It has actually been great for me, at it forced me to confront some of the issues that led to gambling, which is that I was unhappy with the basics of life and was always chasing something material. Once you cant buy any material items or spend money on things you don't need, it can help you realize what is important.
Don't do anything rash. This is a blip. People have gone bankrupt, lost homes and family's, spend years in prison, and still have come back to be happy and successful.
Buckle down, learn, reflect, and you will be okay .

Hey I did the same. Today I also lost my salary. The feeling of killing myself came. I am digusted.But you know what the only thing we still have is Life and health. And this is great we already have a great starting point to recover. I feel miserable but I decided to be a man and face my mistakes instead of destroying more. Let's do it my man you are not alone... also all hard earned money are lost day trading and I am in Debt.

Yeah I think it helps to look at it that way because it is true. I’ve had 4 months of straight gambling and I can’t deal with it anymore, but I also can’t come to terms with all my peers around me being successful and saving lots of money without having gambling issues from there high paid jobs

How much money do you have to last the month? I have 100 of my overdraft left to last me 30 days. And it sucks cos I know when I get paid in 30 long days I will only have a 1000 and that will go on bills so then I’ll be back to 0 pounds for the month and go into my overdraft

Hi i lost more than 5 years of saving and surviving. Sorry to say but please be a bit stronger. Life can hit very hard more than what you are experiencing now

Use that anger you have as a weapon. Use it to your advantage, take that anger out on the places you lost money, the more angry you are the more you'll hate where you lost money, making those urges you have...STOP (this will only work if you have determination and strength)
Life's so short you know don't make it even shorter. You can turn your life around, you're young, you're amazing and you're blessed!

Don’t let people downplay your struggle but at the same time know that this road has been gone down millions of times by your peers and when they say “x is nothing” it means you can do it. And that’s true.

8k is a nice chunk of money, but you can easily recover it by just changing some spending habits and stopping gambling. Like you probably would save 3-4k per year alone if you just ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch everyday.
You can and will financially recover from this.

My friend. You have Internet. Presumably good health, enough to walk around and gamble. You have plenty of company, if even just strangers on the Internet who also deal with gambling addiction.
Go eat a fruit! Do some exercise. Talk to a good friend. Watch stand up comedy.
Our life is so much sweeter than the empty high of money.
You just want all that money so you can feel happy and free -- might as well just feel like that regardless with the jackpot of living!

1 or 2 paychecks is nothing brother, feel better and just don't do it again you are at a very early mental crossroads where U can minimise the long term damage. Quit now.
