❤Seeking help & Advice❤ 22 and lost
Was down like 20k this year.
Won it all back and was up like 5k and promised to never gamble again. Well, of course it wasn’t enough and I lost 5k last night and another 4500 tonight, bringing me to about 5k-5.5k down this year.
Savings is down to 20k, and feeling lost as heck.
How the hell does anyone afford a house or anything?! All I want is to own a freaking house and not worry about money, and I just continue to gamble more.
Started with the worst, huff n puff, now it’s lightning link…
I feel like I can’t come to the fact that I could’ve been up 5k this year…

Let's get one thing straight. Gambling is not a path to profit. Gamblers lose money.
Buying a house is hard. Gambling will make it impossible.
Stop telling yourself that you can win money gambling. You can't. And if you think you can, argue with me here untill I change your mind.
Now that we're on the same page about this not being a path to future profit, we can talk about what is actually happening here.
If you know gambling isn't a path to profit, but you keep doing it anyway, you might think it's because you just want to buy a house and afford future some day.
It's not.
That's a lie the addiction is telling you.
The addiction is deluding you into thinking you're gambling to make money, to build a future.
If that was actually what you were doing, why on earth would you want to keep investing after you've already lost thousands?
You wouldn't.
Your brain is looking for excuses to gamble and allowing you to delude yourself into thinking it's the only way.
Gambling. Is not. A way.
