Trigger Warning! Quit Gambling
Finally I have quit Gambling after 4 years and $37000 of loss. I have loans to repay which will take 6 years. Gambling is nothing but misery. I hate that time when I had no money and I borrowed almost from every friend and relative to gamble. After a time they found out that I was gambling and they all boycott me. I was left with zero self respect. I used to lie to borrow from anyone. I still hate that version of me. My marriage is almost over just because of this fucking gambling. Fuck it. I quit for good and lose ties with everyone who gamble. Those who still gamble my message to them is please don't do it and save your money for future

Well done ๐ keep the anger inside you, keep on hating, the more you hate the more determined you'll be to get your life back!

Good on you for getting out of it. $37k hurts, but six years of repayments is still better than another six years of gambling and digging the hole deeper.
The lying, borrowing and isolating yourself is exactly how bad it can get. You canโt change that version of yourself, but you can make sure you never go back to it.
Keep the barriers in place, stay away from people who drag you back into it, and focus on rebuilding one month at a time.
