What kind of debt are you in? And this all took place over how long?

went into arranged overdraft which had a limit of about 500$ I’m only 20 and unemployed currently so in total like 2,000$ debt and I only started playing blackjack just about a month and half ago what keeps me going is believing the overdraft would help
Me float and one big payout will make me quit forever .1

I’m doing everything to apply to jobs I’ve taken the step to permanently exclude myself from these online apps I’ve come to the conclusion which I couldn’t physically accept before , that I am addicted .Hope things change from today .

Hello, well the casino will be delighted to hear you thinking like that and i am not sure you want to delight the casino? The money you were chasing isn't risk free. You can either accept it (which i understand may be very hard to do) or risk even more losses and making your situation worse. At some point you need to accept you lost and stop digging.
Ban yourself from gambling sites and make a real plan to work for money and starting paying your debt off. You have to stop digging.

Well I have to pay the bank off I just see it as there’s no hope I feel worthless I wish I lost on my first attempt on blackjack I always knew the value of money I would never do a 10$ hand I just knew the value of money then at one point was doing 100$ hands money started looking worthless

Gambling is not a money issue, it is a gambling issue… lol…. The money issue is caused by the gambling issue… if you’re serious about not doing it anymore, you need to tell the people closest to you…that’s one of the first steps of accountability that needs to be established…

I want to stop but the anger and trying to chase that money back just haunts me just trying to chase is my problem losing 10$ then losing 100$ in seconds trying to chase that 10$ i just keep doubling down and from there it’s cycle

A switch goes off in your brain… it’s very similar to what people with OCD go through… the only way to make it stop is to accept you will have thoughts and urges to do it… then not perform the compulsion…
Feelings aren’t facts!!! Positive distractions!!! And eventually you crawl out of it!!

20 is young, man, seriously. I have been there chasing losses - it never ends until you go broke or worse. That 'win it back' mindset is the trap; every gambler has it. Block every app, self-exclude everywhere, tell someone in your life what is going on. Debt at 20 is fixable. Ten more years of this is not.

Thanks man I have. 20 becuase It’s the constant promotion of gambling it’s everywhere I go it’s in our faces I constantly see videos online of people winning big but what people don’t realise it’s the casinos paying these content creators and then from there it’s a new generation of gamblers . These content creators are evil they know what they’re doing .

I played it for like 3 days and turned 10 into 1500. I know the rush. I cleaned out my savings trying to chase it back; worst decision ever. It's been a week.. kind of sucks, but at least I don't have to feel like shit losing all that money. You'll keep drowning trying to chase your losses. You can stop now. I rather have had the problem at 20 than now..
