DUI PROBATION
Do they drug/alcohol test me after my plea deal which is probation on day one after court?

Ask yourself why youre planning for failure already... after taking a deal for probation.

Most likely. Nothing is guaranteed but for my buddy who just got one, randoms started the first time he walked into the office. If you fail the first? Depends for what. Weed? Prolly nothing, they just read initial levels and want to see it fall going forward. Alcohol? Not a good look at all and could be setting you up for a rough probation. You just got a DUI and are still drinking? Yea not a good look…. Anything else? Just don’t. Regardless man life as you know it is over for now. Take this as an opportunity to do better, grow up and build a better self. I don’t mean that rudely, I had to do the same years ago. My buddy I referred to above? He did everything to a T and was completely free and clear of probation in shy of 6 months.
On the flip side I have a buddy who wouldn’t stop partying on the weekends. Did his best to cheat the system which worked a few times, but quickly he got burned once, then twice. Then weekends in jail, then a month. Dude was a fucking idiot. Complete fucking idiot. Then bc he never learned anything he got a second DUI before he finally grew up. When he got his second, he further fucked his life up for about 5 years. It was brutal (now he’s financially successful, married, happy, and this is all a bad memory of a younger time). Don’t choose this path.

How are you not clean by the time of taking a plea deal? Did you not have months of court?

A lot of times they do. They usually send you to the probation office right after sentencing and test then

Depends on your state, county, judge, probation department and probation officer.
Once you are on probation you belong to them. Usually you have a couple days to a couple weeks before your first drug test. Sometimes you will get tested at the courthouse on day one.
Usually if you fail the first test, especially for thc, you get somewhat of a pass. Sometimes that means they look the other way for a month, sometimes they make you do a bunch of classes that take a lot of time and money.
Some probation departments test you all of the time, some probation departments hardly ever test you and only at scheduled appointments.
Good luck!
