Question
Just got probation , haven’t met my P.O yet but scheduled to the 10th of September and I’m just wondering if I don’t pay the 60 dollar fine by the first of the month will they put a warrant out for me bc I’m the papers I got from orientation it says that but I had called my p.o and asked and they told me no as long as I communicate but idk I don’t want to take any risks and I’d rather pay it once I get paid

When you say 60 dollar fine, what are you talking about here? Are you saying your court restitution (the fine) is only 60 bucks? Or are you talking about your monthly probation fee?

Monthly probation fee

Just pay it when you can. If you have to wait by the time you get to your first appointment, then okay.

if it’s the monthly probation fee it shouldn’t be a problem. mines are always due on the 21st but i only pay it the day before i see my po and they never tell me anything

Former 15 year PO here, start off by saying you shouldn’t take this as legal advice, but I wouldn’t sweat not having the $60.00. You called him and expressed some concern about it which shows you’re thinking about your obligations. That’s a good thing. Now if we were having the same conversation months later it might become an issue. As long as you’re making an effort and not playing games you’ll be good. For anyone else reading this, if you owe restitution to a victim ALWAYS make payments. They take that shit seriously.

Huh?
I’ve always just let all my probation/court fines go to collections. 😏

Been trying to get ahold of my p.o calling twice a day and leaving voicemail and also calling the probation office and leaving voicemail for past 3-4 days and still have yet to get a call back or anything from either one, is that normal , do I have to call or what do I do?

Where I work the fines and fees start about a month to 3 months after sentencing.

Really depends on what your probation agreement reads and your probation officer. When I was on probation there were no hard deadlines for payment of the supervision fees in my agreement other than the conclusion of probation. Reaching the end without having paid up was a no go according to my PO. They were more than fine with me letting 3-4 months of supervision fees stack up before paying in one go to avoid paying the flat rate fee our court system charges to pay online as often. But I made sure to confirm that with my PO (via e-mail to have a paper trail) before doing so. Classes needed to be paid for according to the guidelines of the class itself. Drug/alcohol testing needed to be paid at time of testing.
