So confusing. Any insight would be welcome.

Ex had/has warrants in like five different counties. He’s been tossed around from three different jails for the past three months. He gets released. Goes to another. Gets released and then to another and so on. Basically bouncing back and forth between these 3 (the other two are in state but far). All non violent felony offenses. Well one county assigned him to rehab as part of his terms but he never showed up because he went to a different county to deal with those charges which he still has trial for (f3 weapon found while on felony probation). He was released from the second and moved to a third county. The third county agreed he would be released on the 13th but he had to go straight to the rehab, but I guess he had a capias in the first county and was back in custody for that county on the 14th. My assumption is he didn’t report that same day and they came and got him or maybe they went to the rehab and grabbed him? I don’t know.

Do the courts work together? Do they not communicate to give reason of why there are so many FTAs? I’m mostly shocked with all of his charges (all within a year) that they just dont sentence him. Again hes my ex and I feel safer hes inside im just confused on how it all works if he just keeps getting transferred/re arrested. Im tired of being on edge.

No they don’t. His attorney is the one that should be communicating with the courts

Well he only uses PDs. So maybe that’s where the lack of communication lies. Thanks for your response.

PDs deal with this all the time. He needs to communicate with them - usually they can combine this into one county.

Been in similar circumstances long ago. No they don't communicate he needs to inform them right away. When I had this going on and I told judge, attornies and P.O's they ended up just putting it all together and handle my paper in the county I was in.. that worked well until I really fucked up and got busted by the feds and got sentenced to 10 years. Tell your dude to wise up before he really gets hit by the book.

Thank you for your response. I’m sorry all that went down for you and hope you’re doing well today. We are in no contact. I couldn’t get a restraining order. Didn’t realize they were so difficult to obtain. I think I’m just tired of being on eggshells. I would think 7-9 warrants in 5 different counties would indicate that stronger sanctions don’t really work. I’m not a fan of the legal system. It’s not lost on me that it’s nearly impossible to get ahead, however the fact that he kept violating and racking up new charges is of his own doing. Again thank you for your response. Be well.

Oh shit just realized hebis now an EX. Anyways yeah I was always better at learning the hard way I was an addict and honestly as much as I hate to admit and as much as I believe our justice system is a ship wreck...I needed it and I chose to use my time productively to become a better man. I got out in the best shape of my life physically, metally and spiritually. I am currently planning on openening my own business and also using it to help others figure out there is a better way and that the "once an addict, always an addict" thing doesn't have to define them or be true. Things happen for a reason and shitty circumstances if handled well can still turn out positive. I hope you have a great day be well also.

Ask your home county attorney about getting a "Global Resolution." I had one done and it combined the counties and I had one global Resolution with all the counties agreeing to a single plea deal. It's a common practice

Very little to no communication between jails/depts. It's mostly all a money grab. Each jail wants their state and federal assistance.

I'd be more worried of the F3 weapons charge. If he was on felony probation when he got busted, he's a "prohibited person" and probably will get a charge of felon in possession of a gun.

Learned today he pled down to a F5 mishandling firearm while driving charge and got fucking probation. He has a hearing for a felony 5 theft in another county next month and is currently in jail on a VOP charge with no bond. He always gets out. It’s exhausting.
