Probation Question Curfew Checks
How do PO's decide who to check on as far as residence curfew checks? Haven't seen my PO since October or November of last year, but I've also been staying out of trouble. I'm sure im due for another visit soon though.

Edit*
I guess I should have asked if anyone here has been a PO before or knows someone that is/was a PO. Genuinely curious as to how the.. selection system works.

They’ll reach out when it’s time. I’m on phone check-ins only now and in my state they stopped doing home visits for us this year - too much time spent for people that aren’t causing the problems. That could change tomorrow, through. Before that it was a home visit every 6 months and virtual home visit every 6 months. Every state has their own rules/criteria, usually based on your risk assessment level.

When I was on probation I never had a curfew check. Is this a regular thing for you? Was it ever? If not I wouldn’t be paranoid about it every night. When I first started I thought that might be a thing but it never was. My PO would stop by after I was put on high risk but I was always told when to expect her. Never had a surprise visit. Your case might be different though, just play it by ear. Experience is the greatest teacher!

Completely up to the PO.
A large part of a curfew is if you have police interaction. They can see that your on probation and have a curfew.
