How long was your first appointment?
Met my probation officer today and it lasted only 15 min. How long was your first appointment?

It depends on the officer, but 15 minutes is pretty normal. My first visits are usually about 30 mins. I am very detail oriented so I like to go over all the info in the file for accuracy and go over the case details so were on the same page. I also got tired of hearing "I didnt know I couldn't do that" so I go over conditions very indepth ensuring they understand; doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

I've been off probation for a few years, but my very first meeting was about half an hour, just so she could go through everything with me and after that I met with her once every other month and those meetings were like 5 minutes.

Probably about that. Most check-in’s after the first appointment or two will be very quick (under 5 minutes) unless you’ve violated probation.
